Benefits of working at Salix Homes
We offer a wealth of benefits, for your work and home life
We want our people to live, grow and thrive.
There’s a whole range of benefits to joining our team…
Flexible working
We believe flexible working increases motivation and promotes a positive work-life balance. Depending on your role, you may benefit from our Flexi-time Policy, operating between 7am and 7pm, and Hybrid Working policy, working from home or remotely as part of your week.
Holidays
On top of paid leave for bank holidays, our colleagues receive up to 34 days holiday a year. The longer you stay working with us, the more annual leave you'll be entitled to.
Additional leave
We offer enhanced payments to support maternity, paternity or adoption leave, and offer Shared Parental Leave. We also have a range of 'special leave' options, including time off to deal with an unexpected emergency or dependents, or compassionate leave.
Induction
We provide all new starters with a comprehensive induction programme to help them understand our business and ensure they have all the necessary training for their roles.
Learning and training
Our comprehensive e-learning platform offers a wide range of courses to support your ongoing development. We invest in colleagues on a continual basis to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to fulfil your role to the best of your abilities.
Sponsored study
Colleagues can make a request for us to fund a development course, usually provided by a college or university, which will support you to develop your career while benefitting the organisation.
Employee recognition
Our employee awards schemes allow staff to recognise colleagues for their great work, and be in with the chance of receiving a special reward. Each week, we share the compliments received from colleagues and customers around the business.
Contemporary workspace
We've invested in our offices to create a modern workspace, with formal and informal break-out areas and dedicated focus rooms. Plus, we've got an entire floor for colleagues to relax and enjoy their downtime, with TV and games area, and free tea and coffee to keep you fuelled.
Dress code
A relaxed dress code is good for wellbeing, so we encourage colleagues to dress for their day. If you haven't got any meetings, jeans and trainers are just fine. You can save your smarter dress for meeting customers or partners.
