Our Finance Team

We’re responsible for ensuring the financial viability of Salix Homes by supporting colleagues throughout the organisation and reporting financial performance to funders, senior management team and all budget holders.

We are responsible for the payment of invoices to suppliers and require the support of the business to verify that invoices are correct for payment. We produce the monthly management accounts report and annual statutory accounts.  We’re also responsible for the submission of any external returns, notably monthly VAT returns, information to Homes England and Funders, which includes the 30 year financial business plan that ultimately demonstrates to the funders the long term financial stability of our business.  

We play a major role in helping us be a financially viable and a high performing organisation.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our team as an Accountant to deliver the Management Accounts for major property refurbishment, new build development and day to day repairs spend including management of the fixed assets.

Are you the right person for the job?

We are looking for candidates with a finance background who hold or are working toward an accountancy qualification (CCAB, CIMA), they need to thrive under pressure, adapt to and be flexible to the demands of the role. The role holder should;

  • be an excellent communicator and able to develop effective relationships
  • have a working knowledge of budget monitoring and fixed asset control
  • demonstrate a high standard of accuracy and pride in their work at all times
  • be able to work under tight deadlines and be flexible with their approach
