More than £800 has been raised in a charity raffle thanks to generous Salix Homes employees at its recent employee conference

Salix Homes employees raised a total of £819 at the annual event, which this year welcomed Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham as its guest speaker.

The money raised will go towards Andy Burnham’s Mayor’s Homelessness Fund and the Salford Ceremonial Mayor’s Charity Appeal, which raises money for a range of local causes across the city.

The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham explained the money raised for the homelessness fund goes towards excellent charities including Street Support and Salford-based Coffee for Craig, championed by the late Councillor Paul Longshaw who tragically died earlier this year.

The total includes a donation from our chief executive Lee Sugden to contribute £1 for every £5 raised.
