An outstanding £800 raised to help local causes at this year’s Employee Event

A huge thank you to all Salix employees who bought raffle tickets and helped raise money our #RethinkingHousing Employee Event. By the end of the day we had raised a whopping £819.34.

The money raised will go towards Andy Burnham’s Mayor’s Homelessness Fund and the Salford Ceremonial Mayor’s Charity Appeal, which raises money for a range of local causes.

The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham explainedthe money raised for the homelessness fund goes towards excellent charities including Street Support and Salford-based Coffee for Craig, championed by the late Councillor Paul Longshaw who tragically died earlier this year, read our tribute to the late Paul Longshaw.

Salix Homes are proud to support these charities as they continue their vital work of tackling rough sleeping and homelessness in the Greater Manchester area, an issue very close to our hearts.

The total includes the generous offer from our chief executive Lee Sugden to contribute £1 for every £5 raised.
