Join our Board and Committees
We are seeking to appoint two new Board members to join the Salix Homes Board. We are specifically looking for:
People with skills and experience in the areas of:
- Customer and landlord services; and
- IT/ Business improvement
We are also seeking to appoint an Independent Committee member to sit on our Audit & Risk and Assets & Sustainability Committees. As the Independent Committee member, with a strong financial understanding and development experience, you will use your knowledge and skills to allow these committees to provide assurance to the Board.
We are looking for individuals who have values aligned with our own – ‘Trustworthy, Successful and Inclusive’, a strong commitment to the social housing sector and the communities we serve, and the ability to work as a team to lead the organisation to achieve its core purpose of providing good quality, safe homes and services to people in housing need.
Salix Homes
Salix Homes owns and manages over 8,000 homes in Salford, which comprises a real mix of properties including 20 tower blocks, large housing estates as well as independent living schemes for the over 55s. We are about much more than providing homes, we deliver services and provide support to help our customers to thrive.
We employ more than 300 people in a wide range of roles from repairs operatives, caretakers and housing officers out in our communities, to customer service advisors and back-office teams who help ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
We were proud to be one of the first housing associations to achieve a C1 grading from the Regulator of Social Housing while maintaining our G1 and V2 status.
