Springboard
community fund
Grants from Salix Homes to groups and projects across Salford that are making a difference in our communities.
Springboard is our community fund programme that offers cash injections to much needed local groups and community activities that will improve the areas our customers live in.
Who can apply for a Springboard community grant?
Anyone can apply for a Springboard grant, whether you’re an established community group, a charity, school, or just an individual with a great idea for a community project. You don’t need to be a Salix Homes tenant, just as long as your project will benefit the communities we work in.
What sort of projects are we looking for?
We’re looking to help initiatives that support our social value themes:
- Housing – alleviating homelessness
- Communities – such as reducing isolation
- Employment – training or equipment
- Supporting the local economy – helping local businesses
- Financial support – advice and assistance
- Environment – delivering environmental improvements
- Health and Wellbeing – sports, health or wellness clubs

Our Neighbourhood Teams review applications every three months and decide which ones to approve.
The Salix Homes Customer Committee receives a report on all the approved applications. Their comments are also considered as part of any future awarding decisions.
If you are awarded a grant, Salix Homes will manage the project funds.
As condition of the funding is that you must provide relevant evidence as part of an evaluation. Failing to complete the evaluation may result in you being excluded from future funding.
