New developments
Some of the brand new homes we’re building in and around Salford
We want to play our part in tackling the housing crisis by building more desperately needed new homes in Salford and beyond.
While Salford has been experiencing something of a housing development boom in recent years, the shortage of affordable homes and social housing in the area is well documented.
As a trusted social housing provider, we’re confident that we’re perfectly placed to deliver the right type of housing in the right places and ultimately help tackle the housing crisis.
Salix Homes builds new social housing as well as delivering affordable home ownership options - delivered through Willo Homes - including Help to Buy, Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy, plus homes for market sale.

Trafford HomechoiceWe’re so happy at Joan Lestor House and look forward to the years ahead living here.
Joan Lestor House on Ellesmere Street, Walkden, had stood empty and abandoned for almost five years. Salix Homes transformed the building into nine contemporary, one and two bedroom apartments for social housing rent. The property now helps those who need it most.
