About Salix Homes
An award-winning housing association, providing social and affordable homes and housing services to people across Salford.
Salix Homes owns and manages over 8,000 homes in Salford, which comprises a real mix of properties including tower blocks, large housing estates and sheltered housing complexes.
We employ more than 300 people in a huge range of roles from repairs operatives, caretakers and estate management officers out in our communities, to customer service advisors and back-office teams who help the smooth running of the organisation.
We’re a not-for-profit charitable organisation, which means we can invest any profits straight back into our homes and communities.
The Salix Homes that we are today was established in 2015 when our residents voted for us to take over ownership of their homes from Salford City Council in a stock transfer, which we previously used to manage on their behalf.
What we do
We’re about so much more than just providing homes, we deliver services and provide support to help our customers to live, grow and thrive.
We work with specialist partner organisations to provide jobs, apprenticeships, training opportunities and support for local people to help with their personal development and well-being, and we also support projects and initiatives that benefit the wider community.
