Hi! I’m Jamie, I have 12 years of experience in the housing industry and am dedicated to ensuring that people feel happy and comfortable in their homes.

Liam is our caretaker at Fitzwarren Court.
Lee is our caretaker at Mulberry Court.
Our neighbourhood priorities are rooted in the voices and feedback of our customers. Through initiatives like our Working in Neighbourhood Days and customer engagement events, we have actively sought input from customers to shape our areas of focus. These are issues that you told us matter most to you:
Our Green Spaces Team works with your housing officer and other partners to investigate fly-tipping in your area. When we find offenders, they may face tenancy action, and if appropriate, be charged for the cost of removing the rubbish. If you have an idea to improve your local environment, you can also apply for a Springboard grant to help make it happen.
Residents should park respectfully and only in designated parking bays. We are working to ensure that the limited parking spaces available can be accessed as fairly as possible by all, and Salix Homes will work with residents to address any parking issues. Breaches of the parking guidelines will result in necessary actions, including potential loss of access to the car park.
Our housing team regularly visit our estates and blocks to assess their condition. If they find improvements are needed, they work closely with our Green Spaces team to take any necessary action. For customers in flats, a dedicated caretaker ensures the upkeep of the block and surrounding grounds.
Residents must ensure their gardens don’t become overgrown or accumulate litter, as this can cause nuisance to neighbours, attract vermin, and pose health and safety risks. Our housing officers regularly check the estate during routine walkabouts to ensure gardens and properties are tidy and well maintained. We work with tenants and other residents to keep individual gardens free from overgrowth, rubbish, and unsightly items.
Many reports we receive are related to household noise rather than anti-social behaviour. As a result, we work with residents to promote good neighbourly relations, prevention, dispute resolution, and implement support measures. Where noise is considered anti-social, such as persistent and excessively loud music, we will follow our anti-social behaviour process to take enforcement action when necessary.
Reckless behaviour associated with driving motorbikes off-road causes significant concern for our residents. We work in close collaboration with the police to actively identify and confront the individuals responsible for this behaviour. We will provide support to the police by offering any evidence that could aid them in criminal prosecutions, and will pursue tenancy action whenever necessary.
We recognise that most young people in our communities do not cause anti-social behaviour, however, we also understand that some of our community find some young people, particularly if they gather in groups, can be rowdy or intimidating. We will work with the police and other agencies to address any issues where the behaviour of large groups of young people is causing a nuisance.
We understand that many residents consider their pets as important companions. We're committed to promoting animal welfare and supporting our residents in taking good care of their pets. To ensure a peaceful and clean environment, it’s important that pets are well-controlled. We will take appropriate measures against any pet owners where their pets cause problems such as being dangerous, making noise, damaging property, or leaving a mess in common areas.
We all have a duty to ensure unauthorised people do not enter our buildings, or 'tailgate' behind residents through open doors. If you live in one of our blocks, our First Response Team is dedicated to safeguarding your home from uninvited guests. We are committed to promptly identifying and preventing any unauthorised building access.
The rise in home deliveries is accompanied by an increase in reports of stolen parcels and packages from communal areas. In response to these thefts, we are committed to working with the authorities to support their investigations, including offering assistance such as providing CCTV footage. We also give guidance to residents on effective measures to prevent theft of doorstep deliveries.
Pests and rodents can potentially spread disease, cause property damage, and affect your wellbeing. It’s important for residents to keep inside and outside their homes clean and free from clutter that might attract rodents. If you’re dealing with a rodent problem, we’ll visit to identify any factors contributing to the issue and work with pest control agencies to implement effective solutions.
Our team is always here to assist you in any way we can. Whether you’re struggling with money, need help furnishing your home, or just a bit of advice, we're here for support.
