Do you know someone who is state pension age?

Did you know that over 38,000 people in Greater Manchester are missing out on the Pension Credit they are entitled to?

1 in 4 people of State Pension age can claim Pension Credit, but many are not taking advantage of this valuable benefit.

Pension Credit provides vital financial support for individuals over the State Pension age with a low income, including extra help with housing costs. What’s more, Pension Credit can open doors to other benefits such as council tax reductions, help with heating bills, the Winter Fuel Payment, and even a free TV licence for those aged 75 or older.

We encourage you to take a moment to check if you, or someone you know, might be eligible for Pension Credit. It’s not just about claiming what you’re entitled to, but also ensuring that those who may benefit from this support are aware of it.

In Greater Manchester, the average Pension Credit claim amounts to £3,400 a year – a sum that could make a real difference in people’s lives.

For more information and to find out if you are eligible for Pension Credit, click the button below.

Local cheerleading group scores big from Springboard Community Fund

Red Hot Flames Cheerleaders Group
Salford’s own community cheerleading and dance club, Red Hot Flames, has received a much-needed boost of over £1000 thanks to our Springboard Community Fund.

The funding helped ensure 60 of the club’s athletes could step out in style with new training kits as they headed to an international competition in Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1996 by Suzanne Roberts, a former cheerleader for the Manchester Giants, Red Hot Flames has become a beloved part of the Salford community.

Suzanne, who was once both a gymnast and cheerleader herself, wanted to pass on her passion for the sport to younger generations, giving them a platform to learn, grow, and succeed. The club offers a variety of classes including Pom Dance, Cheerleading, Gymnastics, Jazz, and Kick, for athletes as young as three years old.
