Salford Red Devils Foundation
Salford Red Devils Foundation is the first official Manbassador for Salford.
The Foundation is the charitable arm of Salford Red Devils, and its mission is to inspire the community through sport, health and education, delivering a wide range of programmes that improve physical and mental wellbeing across Salford and Greater Manchester.
As part of its Manbassador role, the Foundation is delivering a 16-week men’s health and wellbeing programme, starting on Wednesday 5 November, focusing on positive mental wellbeing, physical fitness and healthy eating. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet players from the club who are backing the Manbassadors scheme.
Nathan Connell, Salford Red Devils Super League player, said
“It is great that Salford Red Devils Foundation is leading the way as the city’s first Manbassador. Providing men with the opportunity to get together to focus on their physical and mental wellbeing is so important. We need to get the message out that it is okay to ask for help.”
The Salford Red Devils Foundation team includes qualified teachers, international rugby league coaches, dance co-ordinators and ex professional players, who deliver a wide range of programmes. They’re supported by the Salford Red Devils’ first team stars, women’s team players, and even the club’s official mascot – Diablo.
Through its involvement in the Manbassadors scheme, the Salford Red Devils Foundation is helping to break down the stigma around men’s mental health and inspire more men across Salford to look after their wellbeing and support one another.
