Salford families enjoy trip to Safari Park

Salford families enjoyed a fun-filled day out at Knowsley Safari Park thanks to a helping hand from Salix Homes.

The trip was organised by volunteers a St Clement’s Church in Broughton in a bid to promote community cohesion and tackle isolation.

Almost 60 people, both young and old, took part in the trip, which was partially funded through our Springboard community fund, which supports local projects and initiatives that boost community spirit, improve the environment, reduce isolation and promote health and wellbeing.

Reverend Christine Threlfall from the church said: “We’re really grateful to Salix Homes for facilitating a day out that has helped members of the local community build experiences, friendship and self-confidence.”
