Join us at Salford’s Pink Picnic 2026

This year marks 15 years of Pink Picnic bringing the LGBTQ+ community together to celebrate inclusion and equality in Salford.

Salix Homes is proud to have been a founding partner of the Pink Picnic since its launch in 2011. This year, a grant of £2,500 from our Springboard Community Fund is helping to support the event at Peel Park on Saturday 13 June.

This year we will be running a stall at the picnic so be sure to come along and have a chat with us while you celebrate and enjoy the festivities.

Pink Picnic organisers, Salford Pride, are committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive community where diversity is celebrated, equality is championed, and LGBTQ+ people feel empowered to be themselves.

Salix Homes’ Director of Communities, Warren Carlon, said “Salix Homes has proudly supported the Pink Picnic since the very beginning, working alongside Salford Pride to help bring the first event to life. We’re so proud to continue supporting such an important celebration that champions equality, diversity and inclusion.

“Through our Springboard Community Fund, we’re able to provide valuable support to local grass-roots initiatives like the Pink Picnic. It’s part of our commitment to investing in projects and organisations that make a positive difference to the wellbeing of our communities.”

Chair of the Board of Trustees at Salford Pride, Marcus Taylor said: “Once again Salford Pride thanks Salix Homes for their support in making The Pink Picnic 2026 a reality. Their contribution helps us to bring the event to life and ensure it’s a success.”

“With their support, we are able to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and lively environment where members of the local LGBTQ+ community can connect, celebrate, and feel empowered”.
