How to book a repair
The easiest way to request a repair to your home is online through your MySalix account. You can report a repair 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Just tell us what the problem is, then choose a convenient day for our team to visit you.
You can also report other issues such as damp and mould, or fly-tipping in your area.

Emergency repairs are things that may cause a danger to you or other people, or where your home may be damaged if action isn’t taken straight away. These include:
- serious issues with damp or mould
- blocked or fractured drains
- gas escapes
- electrical faults or loss of power
- major leaks, bursts or loss of water
- broken or insecure windows, glass or door locks
Emergency hazards
- We’ll investigate the issue within 24 hours.
- We’ll do any urgent safety work within 24 hours.
Significant hazards
- We’ll inspect the problem within 10 working days.
- We’ll send you a summary of what we found within 3 working days of the inspection.
- We’ll carry out any urgent safety work within 5 working days.
- We’ll start any further repairs within 5 working days, and begin complex repairs work within 12 weeks.
We’ll start repair work on other low hazard problems within 20 working days. Any repairs that fall outside of this have now been reduced to 45 working days.

Ensuring our customers have safe and high-quality homes is a key priority. We have been continuously focussed on improving our approach to tackling damp, mould and condensation, while also enhancing our Repairs and Maintenance Service, ahead of the introduction of Awaab's Law.

There are some repairs you have to carry out yourself. Subject to capacity, for some essential repairs we may be able to do them for you, however, you will need to cover the cost. We will provide you with a price for completing these repairs and ask for a deposit. Rechargeable repairs include:
- Changing your locks to provide you with replacement keys, including when lost or stolen
- Repairs needed due to damage caused by you, a household member or a visitor to your home, or where forced entry is required by emergency services
- Repairs due to alterations made by you, with or without our permission
- Where we have to clear your home after you leave as you have not removed possessions or have left behind rubbish or other items

Report an Estate Management issue – such as:
- an abandoned home or abandoned vehicle
- a property or garden looking neglected
- parking issues
- subletting of a home
Report an Environmental issue – such as:
- fly-tipping
- graffiti
- littering
Most repairs are completed within just a couple of weeks. Once we know the type of repair you need, we will offer you a choice of appointments for it to be done.
Estate Management and Environmental issues are checked as soon as possible, usually within just a few days.
Through MySalix, you can check the details and track progress of your repairs or issues at any time.
