Salix Homes teams hit the streets to clean up our communities

Teams from across the organisation were out and about in the community during our latest WIN (Working in Neighbourhood) Day this June.

With litter pickers in hand, our colleagues got to work on a warm summer’s day to clear bags full of litter and rubbish from our neighbourhoods across Salford.

We also helped customers to clear their large and bulky waste in skips as a way to tackle fly-tipping incidents around our neighbourhoods. The skips were full to the brim with unwanted items and taken away to be disposed of responsibly.

Salix Homes’ Director of Communities, Warren Carlon, said: “At Salix Homes we’re passionate about focusing on our core values to provide good quality homes and services for our customers, and our WIN days are a vital way to connect with our communities and tackle the issues that mean the most to them.

“A key focus of our most recent WIN Day was combatting fly-tipping and littering in our neighbourhoods. Our teams rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in to help create safer and cleaner communities for our residents.

“Colleagues from across the organisation get involved with our WIN Days. They provide a valuable opportunity for us to get to know our customers face-to-face, listen to their concerns and better understand the individuals we serve, as well as build important connections within our communities.”

Our Neighbourhood Teams hold regular events and activities across our communities including surgeries, drop-in sessions, and clean ups.

Keep an eye on our events calendar to see when we’re in your area.
