Our commitment to diversity runs through everything we do – and that all starts with our Board and Committees.

Salix Homes Board

Comprised of a number of talented leaders from various backgrounds, the Board is proudly diverse.

• 73% are male and 27% are female.
• 0% have informed us that they have a disability.
• 18% have an ethnicity other than White British.
• 9% have a sexuality other than heterosexual.
• The median age of the current Board is 48 with 9% of members over the age of 65.

Our colleagues

Based on the declarations made in a snapshot in April 2023, our workforce demographic was as follows:

• 58% are male and 42% are female.
• 4% have informed us that they have a disability.
• 10% have an ethnicity other than White British.
• 31% have declared as Christian whilst 25% have cited no religion.
• 9% have a sexuality other than heterosexual.
• 26% are under 35 years of age, whilst 20% are aged 55 or over.

There are a number of colleagues who have yet to share their diversity information with us and we continue to work with our Inclusion Group to progress this.

Our customers

Based on the information our customers have shared with us in March 2023 their diversity was as follows:

• 56% are female 44% are male.
• 13% have informed us that they have a disability.
• 25.16% have an ethnicity other than White British.
• Most of our customers are over the age of 50, 21% aged 50 to 59, 30% aged 60 plus.
