We have struck gold after being awarded a prestigious accolade.

The team has been awarded the Gold Standard in the Investors in People award, in recognition of the way Salix Homes develops, supports and motivates its employees.

We were commended by judges for our clear vision, effective team working and strong staff training programmes to encourage personal development.

Lee Sugden, our chief executive, said: “Achieving the Gold Standard is a tremendous achievement for Salix Homes, particularly within the first year of us being a stand-alone housing association.

Prime Minister praises Salford for flood relief effort

The Prime Minister has recognised the people of Salford for their efforts in the aftermath of the Boxing Day floods.

David Cameron hosted a reception at 10 Downing Street in London to pay tribute to organisations, agencies, community groups and individuals who were involved in flood relief operations across the country.

Lee Sugden, our chief executive, and Roger Baldry, from Salford charity the Broughton Trust were invited to represent Salford at the event on Monday, March 21.
