Salix Homes staff team up to support Riding for the Disabled and Salford Lads and Girls Club

On Sunday, 1 September 2019 two teams of Salix Homes colleagues took part in the Racecourse Relays at the former Manchester Racecourse at Kersal Wetlands last weekend.

The Prestwich Athletics Club organised the event to raise money for Riding for the Disabled and Salford Lads and Girls Club.

Team one, made up of Maria Lester, Matt Moore, Dayle Flannigan and Steve Finbow, completed the course in 26th place with a time of 42.49 minutes.

Proud Salfordians have been ‘loving where they live’ as part of our annual Love Your Neighbourhood Week celebrations.

Communities came together for an action-packed week of activities and celebrations to mark Salix Homes’ third annual event, which took place from August 19 – 23 and aims to encourage people to take pride in their neighbourhoods.

From family-fun days, community clean-ups and our first ever Youth Conference hosted by our Boost4Youth panel, the week of action has been a great success.

A Salford care home which supports people living with dementia has been voted the winner of Salix Homes’ annual Springboard Heroes Awards.

The Fountains in Swinton are this year’s winner of the coveted award organised by Salix Homes to recognise community groups and initiatives that are making a difference in our neighbourhoods.

Someone is diagnosed with dementia every three minutes, and symptoms include memory loss, confusion and for some, forgetting their own loved ones.

We are now undertaking our annual customer satisfaction survey for our tenants and leaseholders.

The survey consists of key questions that allow us to find out what you think of the services provided and enable us to benchmark against other housing providers.

We have appointed a company called TLF to conduct the survey via telephone with the interviewers introducing themselves as calling from TLF on behalf of Salix Homes.
