Making changes to your home

If you have a secure tenancy with Salix Homes (this is usually after 12 months in your home) you can request permission to make improvements to your home.

In order to do this you would need to complete an application form which details the requirements that will need to be met in order for permission to be considered. The form will then be assessed by the Repairs Manager. You will be informed if this is approved after consideration of legislation on planning, building controls and any impact on neighbours and the community.

It is important to note that if you carry out improvements to your home you are then responsible for any future repairs regarding or connected to the improvement undertaken.
